SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Extreme Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXTR), today announced that by working with platinum channel partner program member Blue Door Networks, the companies have teamed up to provide the complete mix of products, infrastructure design and product fulfillment services to managed services provider DataChambers so that it can effectively upgrade and expand its customer offerings and reinforce its network for scale and reliability.

Based just outside of the Nation's Capital, Blue Door Networks is a Veteran-owned, communications and information technology (IT) company that maintains a complete portfolio of technology products that it combines into beneficial solutions for enterprises and hosting service companies alike.

DataChambers, based in North Carolina, operates multiple dedicated data centers from which it provides IT management services and business continuity solutions to end customers throughout the United States. Most recently, the company has expanded its network using Extreme Networks' switches and created a split design to physically separate its growing network that has resulted in better scalability and management, while eliminating complexity of logically segmented networks. To DataChambers' customers, this means higher resiliency and responsiveness of their data and applications, keeping them ready and available as they are needed.

The Extreme Networks data center solution for DataChambers features intelligent 1GbE Top of Rack switches with support of Layer 2/3 services to support a highly resilient and responsive network connecting thousands of servers. DataChambers utilizes Extreme Networks' BlackDiamond 8800 and Summit X480 and X460 TOR switches to support virtualization and converged storage.

"We have had a multi-year relationship with Extreme Networks and Blue Door Networks because we get both expertise and excellent value," said Nicholas Kottyan, CEO of DataChambers. "As our services grow and take on new dimensions to address the expanding connectivity needs of our customers, we know we will be ready with products and services from Extreme Networks and Blue Door Networks."
