Company to Highlight Software-driven Networking Solutions at EDUCAUSE 2015

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Extreme Networks, Inc.   • To meet the growing mobile demands of their students, faculty and staff, the University of Mount Union partnered with Extreme to upgrade its infrastructure with an integrated solution that allows them to increase network bandwidth by 2x to handle the growing number of users and devices on the network.
  • Personalized learning is transforming education from a factory model to student-centered education. Based on a new survey conducted by Extreme, 41% of schools currently use or plan to implement personalized learning within the next one to two years. The survey revealed that reliable Wi-Fi was the second most important factor for successfully implementing personalized learning, just after teacher professional development. According to the survey results, 70% revealed that the top benefit of personalized learning is improved student performance and achievement, while 45% said the biggest drawback is the extra preparation it requires. In addition, 69% believe personalized learning will become more relevant in the next one to two years.
